Treme Trivia
As a standard part of research, you send for documents. I contacted the Archdiocese of New Orleans to start ordering baptisms to get confirmation on dates of birth. I decided to start with Grandpa Pete. Seems that Peter Dumas Treme started life as Pierre Dumas Treme.

As a young woman, I knew Uncle Russell and his wife, Aunt Mattie. Everybody who came to New Orleans for a visit seemed to stay with Uncle Russell and Aunt Mattie. During the 1960's and early 1970's, I was frequently at their home to see one relative or another. Mostly, I went to see my Grandpa Pete (Peter Dumas Treme).
