As a young woman, I knew Uncle Russell and his wife, Aunt Mattie. Everybody who came to New Orleans for a visit seemed to stay with Uncle Russell and Aunt Mattie. During the 1960's and early 1970's, I was frequently at their home to see one relative or another. Mostly, I went to see my Grandpa Pete (Peter Dumas Treme).
